It was an honor to participate and perform at Warren Hayne's 23rd Annual Christmas Jam, Jam By Day!  It was a festive experience and loved getting to watch Los Lobos, Phil Lesh & Friends and Goverment Mule after our set earlier in the day. Good times.

Now we're looking forward to playing the 2nd Annual Valentine's Show: 69 Love Songs at The Grey Eagle. We'll be putting our personal touch on 8 songs by The Magnetic Fields, including one of my favorites "The Things We Did and Didn't Do." Other Asheville artists on the bill include Kovacs & The Polar Bear, Holiday Childress, Night's Bright Colors and more.

I've been having a blast recording at Hillcreek Studio in Candler, NC w/ engineer Alex Finlay. Hillcreek is a converted barn that's turned into a beautiful recording studio. Los Gatos Negros Jared White and Clayton Jones slammed out an amazing rhythm track session on bass and drums. We also enjoyed a visit from atv riding and legendary Lynyrd Skynyrd drummer Artimus Pyle. Can't wait to continue tracking. But...

First a trip to LA for a homecoming show with good friends Gus Company. We'll be sharing the bill again at Falcon on Sunset in Hollywood, CA on Wed. Aug. 17th.  And there may be another LA show annoucement in the works. Stay tuned...

And there's more. Stoked that Santiago y Los Gatos Negros will be playing this year's LAAF Festival in Asheville, NC. We'll be hitting the main Arts2People Electric stage on Sunday Sept.4th. This is sure to be a blast.

A big thanks to everyone who came out to my Pulp show last night.  That room is quickly becoming one of my favorites for solo gigs. I'll be announcing some more solo shows soon. However I'm super stoked to announce I'll be doing a full band show at Pisgah Brewing Co. on Oct. 21st.  After many gigs either solo or playing guitar with the Broomstars this will be my first full band set in quite some time.
Speaking of the Broomstars, we'll be at LAB (Lexington Ave Brewing) on Saturday Sept. 25th.  This will be a new venue for us and we're looking forward to it!

There will be another benefit I'm proud to particate in on Saturday July 31st with the Broomstars at The Garage at Biltmore.  This is a breast cancer benefit to support the Susan G. Komen organization. More info on this organization can be found at www.komen.org

We are rolling through 2009 already.  Wishing a happy new year to everyone! It's been a busy winter w/ the Broomstars as we prepare for spring.   Along w/ some regional shows in Feb. & March we're gearing up for a quick tour to the north east which includes a date at Kenny's Castaways in NYC's Greenwich Village on Fri. April 17th.  We'll be making stops in VA & NJ as well... dates TBA. So keep checking in.

12.2.08
I hope everyone has enjoyed the Thanksgiving holiday.  Thank YOU for all the support you've shown.  I've been quite busy playing with The Broomstars as we've enjoyed an abundance of shows and support from local radio.  We've been included on a complilation CD called "Rock The Cause" in support of the Special Olympics. This was put together by Asheville's 105.9 The Mountain. Also we did an on air performance and interview with WNCW which covers most of western NC and parts of GA, SC and TN.
Though I'm planning to remain busy with The Broomstars in '09, I have some solo ideas in store.
Stay tuned...
